Khutor is located 3 1/2 miles N.E. of Veregin, Saskatchewan, Section 13, Twsp. 30, Range 1. W of 2 in the Rural Municipality of Sliding Hills. It was a center for raising purebred horses and cattle for communal purposes. Members of the Chernoff family lived here from 1912-1940, and after a number of private sales, it remains once again in the Chernoff family.
During the peak of the Chernoff life here, there were 20 adults and 25 children living under one roof. The house itself was a stately looking building about 30′ X 100′.
